The first performance of ‘Sir Walter and his Queen’ at Garstang Library for The Garstang Arts Festival was a great success. To continue with each performance so far this season battling with pain, this time it was an abscess on the tooth but with the help of antibiotics ‘the show went on!’
Dennis Crompton, the historical writer, thought it was very emotional, in a good way. With ‘The Friends of Garstang Library’ providing refreshments the full house listened to the adventures and loves of Sir Walter Raleigh from Devon Cream to the Queen’s bed; Towering waves, vast wealth to the Axeman’s blade.
Many thanks to Kirsten, Debbie and the team at The Library for looking after us so well.
The next performance of ‘Sir Walter Raleigh will be on November 16th in the beatiful candle lit halls of Turton Tower.
